Pastor Gordon Thomas

Pastor Gordon Thomas was born in Atlanta GA., raised in Richmond CA. and the Bay Area vicinity. Pastor Thomas was baptized in 1959 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor R.L. Johnson. After receiving the call to ministry, he was ordained in 1987 under Pastor C.E. Richardson at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richmond CA. As an associate minster he served as a youth counselor, Sunday School Superintendent, and Children’s Church Minister.

He has the positions of President of the Congress of Christian Education in the
San Francisco Educational District Association, and 1st Vice- Moderator. Pastor Thomas also served as the Secretary of the San Francisco Baptist Ministers’ Association.

His previous pastorate includes 4 years at Christ Missionary Baptist Church, 7 years at the Star of Hope Missionary Baptist Church, and presently he is celebrating his 3rd year of service as Pastor of Grace Missionary Baptist Church of Sacramento, CA.

Pastor Thomas has earned a Bachelors’ Degree from Bay Cities Bible College, of Oakland, CA. and is currently studying for his Masters’ Degree. His favorite scripture is Galatians 2; 20. He is the loving husband of Yvetta Thomas. Most importantly, he is a child of God.
